We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the Service, use of the Service, or access to the Service, or any contact on the website through which the Service is provided, without our express written permission.

We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not accurate, complete or current. The material on this site is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.

This site may contain certain historical information. Historical information, necessarily, is not current and is provided for your reference only. We reserve the right to modify the contents of this site at any time, but we have no obligation to update any information on our site. Groen™ sells living plants, pots, planters, garden accessories, décor, gift cards and related garden-lifestyle products. Certain products or services may be available exclusively online through our website. These products or services may have limited quantities and are subject to our Returns & Refunds policy.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours, textures, sizes and forms of our products as they appear in our store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor's or mobile device's display of any colour will be accurate.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.

We do not warrant that the quality of any products, services, information or other material purchased or obtained by you will meet your expectations, or that any errors in the Service will be corrected.

Plants are living products. As such, they may naturally vary in size, colour, shape, leaf pattern and overall maturity from item to item. Photographs on our website are representative only. The actual plant you receive may differ from the image shown, and such variance is not considered a defect.

Availability of specific plants depends on seasonal growing conditions, nursery supply and environmental factors beyond our control. Stock may change without notice. If a product you have ordered is no longer available, we will contact you to arrange a suitable alternative or a full refund.

Some plants require specific growing conditions — including particular levels of sunlight, watering, soil type, temperature and humidity — in order to thrive. Customers are responsible for determining whether a plant is suitable for their intended environment before purchasing. Information provided on our product pages or through our plant-care guides is for general guidance only and is not a guarantee of results.

Groen™ is not responsible for plant loss, deterioration or failure caused by incorrect planting, over- or under-watering, extreme weather conditions, pests, disease, neglect or placement in an unsuitable environment after delivery or collection.

All prices displayed on our website are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR). Groen is not registered for Value Added Tax (VAT), so no VAT is charged on our prices and we do not issue tax invoices reflecting VAT. Prices are subject to change without notice.

We shall not be held liable for pricing errors. In the event of a pricing error, we will contact you before processing your order and provide you with the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order.

We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card and/or orders that use the same billing and/or delivery address.

In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you by contacting the email address, telephone number or billing address provided at the time the order was placed.

You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all transactions at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and payment details, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.

Groen Digital Gift Cards are redeemable online at groen.co.za at checkout. Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash unless required by applicable South African law.

Gift cards do not expire. Lost, stolen or damaged gift cards will not be replaced unless proof of purchase is provided and the card has not been redeemed. Gift cards are not refundable and may not be resold.

Any remaining balance on a gift card after a purchase will remain available for future use. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards.

Groen personally delivers every order using our own experienced delivery team within approximately 200 km of Paarl. We do not use third-party couriers for plants. Most orders arrive within 2–5 working days; outlying towns along our regular routes take 2–7 working days. Delivery times for living plants may vary depending on seasonal demand and environmental considerations, as we prioritise the health and condition of your plants during transit.

Delivery availability and the applicable delivery charges are confirmed during checkout before payment. Large trees, oversized plants and bulky items may require delivery to be arranged with us directly. Delivery fees are non-refundable unless the delivery was made in error on our part.

Risk of loss and title for items purchased from our online store pass to you upon delivery. We are not responsible for delays caused by incorrect address information, access restrictions or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Delivery cancellations & changes

Changes or cancellations requested after an order has been prepared for dispatch or after our delivery vehicle has departed may result in delivery costs already incurred becoming non-refundable. Where redelivery is required, an additional delivery fee may apply. This concerns delivery costs only; any refund on the products themselves remains subject to our Returns and Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.

Orders placed for collection may be collected from our Paarl collection point at De Uitzicht Estate, by prior arrangement once we confirm your order is ready.

Once your order is confirmed as ready, you will receive a notification with collection instructions. Orders must be collected within 7 days of the ready notification. Uncollected orders beyond this period may be cancelled and refunded at our discretion.

Please bring your order confirmation email or number when collecting your order.

Our returns and refund process is outlined in our Returns Policy. By purchasing from Groen™, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out in that policy.

In summary, damaged or faulty items are eligible for a full refund, replacement or store credit. Change-of-mind returns on non-plant items may be accepted within 14 days provided items are unused and in their original packaging. Plants may only be returned within 24 hours of collection or delivery. After 24 hours, no returns, exchanges, refunds or credits will be accepted on plants.

Certain content, products and services available via our Service may include materials from third parties. Third-party links on this site may direct you to websites that are not affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy of such sites, and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products or services of third parties.

We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. Please review carefully the third party's policies and practices and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction.

If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions (for example, contest entries or product reviews), or without a request from us you send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans or other materials, whether online, by email, by post or otherwise (collectively, "Comments"), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any Comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation to maintain any Comments in confidence, to pay compensation for any Comments, or to respond to any Comments.

We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion is unlawful, offensive, threatening, libellous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable, or that violates any party's intellectual property or these Terms of Service.

You agree that your Comments will not violate any right of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy or other personal or proprietary rights. You further agree that your Comments will not contain libellous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website.

Occasionally there may be information on our site or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, availability or delivery estimates. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information in the Service or on any related website is inaccurate at any time without prior notice, including after you have submitted your order.

We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information in the Service or on any related website, except as required by law. You agree that from time to time we may remove the Service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the Service at any time, without notice to you. You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the Service is at your sole risk. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Groen™ or its suppliers be liable for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages whatsoever, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, revenue, data or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• the use or the inability to use the Service;
• the cost of procurement of substitute goods and services resulting from any goods, data, information or services purchased or obtained, or messages received, or transactions entered into through or from the Service;

These Terms of Service are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or by ceasing to use our site.
